The life of President Roosevelt was remarkable. Gib Young portrays our 26th president at the Sheridan Middle School Joyce Cline Auditorium, in Sheridan as part of the Boxley Lecture Series 2012. Young, from Huntington Indiana is a Theodore Roosevelt historical interpreter and has performed extensively throughout the country, including:
The Boxley Lectures Series was founded in 2008 to celebrate the life of George Boxley a Virginia abolitionist who settled in Sheridan and built a log cabin in 1828 where he taught school. The series of heritage and cultural programs was created by an alliance of the Sheridan Public Library, Sheridan Community Schools and Sheridan Historical Society. The visit from President Roosevelt is open to the public: February 16 at 6:00 p.m., 3030 W. 246th Street, Sheridan, Indiana at the Joyce Cline Auditorium in the Sheridan Middle School. |
